About
The National FFA Organization is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. The letters "FFA" stand for the Future Farmers of America, these letters are a part of our history and our heritage that will never change. FFA not only welcomes members that want to be production farmers, but also members that are interested in careers like becoming a teacher, doctor, scientist, business owner and many more.
Our chapter is located in Susanville in the Northern area of California in Lassen County. The Susanville FFA provides many pathways and classes such as the Agriscience Pathway that includes classes like sustainable Agriscience Biology, Agriscience Chemistry and lastly the Agriscience Honors class. The next pathway is the Animal Science Pathway that includes Vet Science and Integrated Science Classes. Our last pathway is the welding pathway where there is just Welding A and B classes. We also offer some extra ag classes such as Floral and Greenhouse/Landscaping. We may be one in 320 FFA Chapters but we sure have one of a kind advisors Elizabeth Ammon, Alexandra Beteta-Whitney, and Mike Somerville.
